Story, Screenplay & Direction : He's the Man, He's the Jackie Chan, He's the King of the Andhra....Yes!. Power Star Pawan Kalyan certainly proved it with his latest release 'Jalsa'. The story begins with Sanjay Sahu (Pawan Kalyan) and Indu(Kamalaane Mukharjee) falling in deep love with each other. Later father of Indu, Ram Mohan Reddy (Prakash Raj) knows the love drama that leads to the marriage of Indu with a Software Engineer. Then comes Bhagyamathi (Ileana) into the scene who also loves Sanjay.. Later comes the twist that Bhagyamathi is also a daughter of Prakash Raj.

Ram Mohan Reddy , being a Police Officer gets orders to target Naxals. He goes to the forest for naxals and finds Sanjay there. Rest of the story is the flash back, villian's revenge & Sanjay's love.

Trivikram's direction is really ultimate. Dialogues in the film could have been better as there is Trivikram Srinivas in this portfolio. There are some punches in the film but couldnt show a proper impact. Screenplay in the first half was little bit slow, but gained its pace later. Brahmanandam's Comedy was really hilarious and joyful. Parvathi Melton, Kamalinee and Shivaji played the guest appearences in the film. Cinematography by Guhan and Editing work by Srikar Prasad were glorious.

Music : Devi Sri Prasad's music is always a saving part for other films. But for 'Jalsa', its really a significant part. All the songs sound good with fast & western beats and also picturised well. 'Chalo Rey Chalo Rey' song could have been picturised in a better way and 'Jennifer Lopez' song is the spotlight.

Artists Performance:

Pawan Kalyan : He looks handsome in a different style in whole film. The costumes were a perfect fit for him. His action and performance seems to be far better from his earlier movies like 'Annavaram' and 'Bangaaram'.

Ileana : She is apt in her character with her gorgeous and dazzling looks. Her fascinating performance opposite Pawan Kalyan was really seductive.

Others : Parvathi Melton and Kamalani Mukharjee did an outstanding performance. Prakash Raj's act is always magnificent. Sunil, Brahmanandam and others were convincing.

How is the movie?

After Kushi, Pawan's movies were not upto the mark. But 'Jalsa' is the movie that made Pawan to stand on a single leg in the Film Industry. First half of the film is interesting and run smooth without any ditches and hedges. But second half is certainly a drawback. The reason is that the director failed to narrate it properly. The flashback and the Villian's act of taking revenge were not convincing. The length of the film is also long that makes second half a bit boring. Colors Swathi has lend her voice to Ileana that made all the difference and the film also has Mahesh Babu's narration in the form of voice-over.

Final Verdict : No Doubt, the film will have tremendous collections in the box office. 'Jalsa' is a good family entertainer and is one of the asset in Pawan's carrer. Let us wait and watch if 'Jalsa' crosses the mile stone of an above average film to a hit or super hit flick.
